This article describes how to manage user training including changing the user’s completion status for a course, removing user tracking information, and viewing logs.

While users are added to and removed from courses by managing registrations, additional actions can be performed to further manage user training including changing the user’s completion status for a course, removing user tracking information and viewing logs.

Change User Completion Status

This action only needs to be taken for Remote Training and Classroom courses but can be done for all types of courses if needed. Course statuses for users who take an Online Learning Manager courses are updated automatically as they progress through the course.

  1. After a user starts or completes a course, navigate to the ‘Manage Courses’ screen.
  2. On the Manage Courses screen, select the course that needs to be updated.
  3. On the Course Details screen check the checkbox beside all users who need to have their course status updated.
  4. Click the ‘Change Status’ tab.

  5. On the ‘Change User Status’ screen, use the dropdown menus to change the Completion Status as needed.
  6. If you change the Completion Status to ‘Completed,’ enter the Completion Date and Success Status when prompted to do so.
  7. Click the ‘Change’ button.

Remove User Tracking Information

This action is only used for online courses and must be used carefully. When a user works through an online course, all activities for the course tree are recorded in a log. By using this feature, all logged activities will be removed except for the completion and success statuses.

This feature is generally only used when a course is changed after a user has been registered for the course.

  1. On the Manage Courses screen, select the online course for which tracking information needs to be removed.
  2. Click the ‘Remove Tracking’ icon beside the user whose tracking information needs to be removed.
  3. On the ‘Remove User Tracking Information’ screen, click the ‘Remove’ button to confirm the change.

View User and Course Logs

User and Course logs can only be viewed by Fountayn team members and are only available for online courses. These logs record detailed user activity related to completion statuses, success statuses and the time that the user devotes to each activity in the course tree.

  1. On the Manage Courses screen, select the appropriate online course.
  2. On the Course Details screen click the log icon in the ‘User Log’ column to view the log for a particular user. Click the log icon in the course summary to view the log of the course.
