This article covers the directions for users to flag a version and then load it onto the production server through the production node in the form navigation.

Once a version has successfully passed through the approval phase, it is ready to be moved to production. The Production node in the Form Navigation is where authorized users may flag a version and then load it onto the production server. The directions for executing these operations are described below.

Note: Teamwork Sandbox records do not have a Production node. Only Standard trials and Teamwork Master trials contain a Production node.

Flag a Version

In order for a trial to be available to load on the Production server, it must be flagged by the QA role.

  1. Navigate to Production > Flag Version node in the Form Navigation.
  2. Select the appropriate version to be flagged for approval by clicking the corresponding radio button.
  3. Select “Flag Version” from the drop down list.
  4. Enter a comment describing the changes to the version.
  5. Click the ‘Go’ button.

This version will appear in the Load Version screen for the Project Manager or specified role to then load the version for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Loading a Version for Production

To activate a version on the Production servers, a flagged version must be loaded by the Project Manager or Trial Designer for the study.

  1. Navigate to the Load Version node under Production in the Form Navigation.
  2. Select the appropriate version to be loaded by clicking the corresponding radio button.
  3. Click the ‘Load onto Production’ button.

This version will then be loaded onto the Production server for use.

All Sites – Production

The site network is managed independently on each server. The All Sites link is initially created when the trial is set up – one tool on each server. This initial tool is meant as a starting point for building the appropriate site network for Design, Test, Approve and Production use. Trial Manager provides the ability to build a comprehensive site network as well as multiple independent tools. See All Sites – Design in the Design article for instructions on managing the site network.
