Summary

This article describes the uses for the contacts manager.

Table of Contents

The Contacts Manager is used to track contacts and contact groups and is useful for sharing files and events with other users and workgroups. The Contacts Manager can be accessed by hovering over your name in the header and selecting ‘Contacts.’

Contacts Tree

The contacts tree is organized into three different categories and acts as a navigation tree to help organize your contacts.

Personal Contacts

The Personal Contacts folder is named after the user and contains all personal contacts added by the user. Each user is the Administrator of their own Personal Contacts folder.

My Studies

The My Studies folder contains all the contacts related to your studies and is organized by study.

My Workgroups

The My Workgroups folder stores contacts related to any workgroups that are not connected to a study.

Available Actions

Based on your location within the Contacts tree and your privileges, different actions are available. Administrators and Contributors can create, edit, and delete folders at a parent folder level. Within the parent folder, Administrators and Contributors can create, edit, and delete folders, contacts and contact groups. Each user is automatically the Administrator of their Personal Contacts folder. Those who do not have Administrator or Contributor permissions can only view the details of a contact.
