This article covers explains Info Mode and how the system can display structural information.

When Info Mode is configured on the Roles worksheet, the system can display structural information related to the subject, forms and questions. Info Mode can be useful during trial design to more closely review how the trial configurations affect each form.
This page describes how to configure different versions of the Info Mode feature and their effects on the user interface.
Viewing Additional Info
When Info Mode is enabled for a particular role, a ‘Show Info’ button appears below the Pinned Questions.
Upon clicking the ‘Show Info’ button, the forms will expand to display additional information and the ‘Show Info’ button will become a ‘Hide Info’ button. Subject or form information displays above the form. Question information appears below each question.
To hide the info, you can click the ‘Hide Info’ button or refresh the page.
Basic Info Mode
The most general form of Info Mode is the Basic version.

In this mode different information is displayed for records, forms and questions. This permission also makes the ‘Show Info’ and ‘Hide Info’ buttons available.
Record Data
- Date the record was created
Form Data
- Form (alias, and type id when both alias and type id are equal)
- Alias when it is different than the form type ID
- Form type id when it is different than the form alias
- Form sequence number
Question Data
- Question (alias and type id when both alias and type id are equal)
- Question alias when it is different than the question type ID
- Question type ID when it is different than the question alias
- Currently saved value
- Path for the question from the root. The path notation is used for expression dependencies
- Script path for the question from the root. This notation is used within the scripting language
- Blank Check value when Required or Preferred is configured.
- Visibility logic for the question, when configured.
Dependencies
With infoModeDependencies configured, the system displays all dependencies related to a question. When infoModeDependencies is configured for a role, the role automatically receives the infoMode permission.

Each dependency is listed with its dependency ID as a separate line. Dependencies that are active (violated) for the stored value are displayed in red while inactive dependencies are displayed in blue. By clicking on a dependency, you can view the dependency’s ‘Check if blank’ value, Expression and Alert Text.
During Study Development, additional messages related to configuration errors are also displayed. These messages can be related to any of the following errors.
- Incorrect number of brackets
- Unmatched closed brackets
- Odd number of apostrophes
- Custom Dependencies with only alphanumeric characters
- Custom Dependencies with only non-alphanumeric characters
- Custom Dependencies that don’t start with a capital letter
Note: These messages will only appear after the ‘Show Info’ button is clicked.
Scripts
With infoModeScripts configured, the system displays all scripts related to a question. When infoModeScripts is configured for a role, the role automatically receives the infoMode permission.

Each script is listed by its script ID as a separate line. By clicking on a Script ID, you can view the body of a script.
Sequence Numbers
With infoModeSequenceNo configured, the system displays each form’s sequence number within the form summary. When infoModeSequenceNo is configured for a role, the role does not automatically receive the infoMode permission.
Unlike the other info modes, you cannot toggle the visibility of this sequence number.

Note: The Basic Info mode feature supports the display of the sequence number for a single form. In this case, the sequence number is displayed in the information area for a form when the ‘Show Info’ button is pressed.
