This article covers how to run and add filters to the Generate Historical Data Utility.

Once you have gained access to your analytics account within CTMS, you will need to run the Generate Historical Data Utility to populate all predictive managers with data. Currently, only the Site/Study Enrollment and Study Enrollment Forecasting Mangers use historical Data. Once the utility is complete, all data added to sites and studies will automatically be added to the analytics on a regular schedule. A Data collection job is run daily at 6 am UTC, and all data will be synced that is entered before 12:00 am UTC. any data entered between 12 am UTC, and 6 am UTC will be included in the following Data collection job.

How to run the Generate Historical Data Utility

  1. On the CTMS Dashboard, click on the Actions drop-down 
  2. Select Generate Historic Data
  3. Click into the text field to select the protocols you wish to generate historic data for 
  4. Confirm selected studies 
Note: Depending on the amount of data, it can take several minutes to generate the historical data. To view the status, click on the Generate Historic Data option under the actions drop-down again.


Filters and Navigation


Number of Days: Changes the forecasting threshold

Study Site Name: Filter by Site

Protocol: Filter by Protocol

Patient Status: Filter by a specific or multiple patient status
