This article covers the components of the CTMS Homepage.

After clicking on the CTMS tool name under My Tools on the desktop, you will arrive at the CTMS Homepage. The CTMS Homepage is a dashboard designed to support needs for viewing specific data based on a user’s role.

Navigation Menu

The Navigation Menu will appear on all screens within CTMS. By selecting the menu tool in the upper left hand corner the Navigation Menu will appear displaying all access the user has to CTMS. The menu will have by default:

  • Desktop: Redirects to the Desktop
  • Home: Redirects to the CTMS Homepage.

The other menu items will be based on the user’s permissions.



When an option displays an arrow  beside the name, the menu expands to display multiple options. For example, Reports will expand and display access to ad-hoc reports, analytics, and Standard Reports.


Actions Tab

The green Actions tab is located on the right side of the screen. The actions listed in the dropdown menu changed based on your location within CTMS. The Action tab is used when an action can be performed on the screen, like adding a new form, export the contents of a manager, etc.

Widgets

The CTMS Homepage will display widgets such as My Checklist and Calendar. The CTMS Homepage widget visibility is based on the user role/permissions. Additionally, information contained in widget displays can be exported directly from the CTMS Homepage.
By default, the CTMS Homepage will display the Calendar and My Checklist widgets. Select “Widget Configuration” from the Actions menu on the CTMS Homepage to configure the widgets.


My Checklists Widget

Checklists are generated by saving searches in CTMS Managers. The My Checklist widget will display the saved searches in a table format. These checklists are displayed in ascending order based on creation date. The table contains the name of the checklist and the number of items that meet the criteria for the checklist. The table also displays the name of the checklist creator (the Owner) and a delete icon that can be used to delete the checklist. Roles granted sharing privileges will also have the option to share the checklist with other roles that have the permission to view the manager associated with checklist.

Calendar Widget

The Calendar widget displays the monthly view of the calendar for CTMS events along with the CTMS workgroup events occurring that month. The workgroup for the calendar is determined by the workgroup storing the CTMS tool. Children workgroups of the CTMS tool will not appear on the calendar. You can access the information for any date by selecting it on the calendar. You can also access the day view of the Calendar collaboration tool by clicking the numerical date. The CTMS Calendar will display:

  • Contract Expiration (System Generated): Displays contract expiration dates for vendor level contracts, study level site and vendor contracts.
  • Milestones (System Generated): Displays milestones that have actual dates and projection dates for study milestones.
  • Events (Manually Generated): Events that are manually added to the workgroup calendar.
  • Tasks (Manually Generated): Tasks that are manually added to the workgroup calendar.
  • Monitoring Visits (System Generated): Displays site visits that have occurred and projected upcoming monitoring visits based on the Monitoring Plan.
  • Patient Visits (System Generated): Displays patient visits that have occurred and projected upcoming visits based on the Visit Schedule.


Note: The CTMS calendar will not be real-time, but updated through the system cache within 24 hours. 


Ad-Hoc Report Widgets

Ad-hoc reports created with an output setting of browser window, bar chart, line chart or pie chart are available to be added to the CTMS Homepage.

Standard Report Widgets

Certain standard reports can be added to the CTMS Homepage. Standard report sections that can be added are:

  • Deviation Categories
  • Deviation Status
  • Site Deviations
  • Enrollment Report
  • Monitoring Status Report – Monitoring Overview
  • Monitoring Status Report – Monitoring Reports to Finalize
  • Site Status
  • Study Status
  • Vendor Cost

Except for the Vendor Cost report, reports will display based on the study selected in the Widget Configuration. Deviation Categories, Deviation Status, and Site Deviations contain an all options for the report to display based on all studies.
