This article covers calendar access and views, filters, and how to print the calendar.

The Calendar presents date-related information for each study and supports the filtering and overlaying of multiple calendars.

Four different types of calendar items exist and can be broken down into two different groups: those generated by the system and those manually created by the user.

  • Visit – System generated. Created for any trial with visits configured. After selecting a specific Visit in the calendar, the system will redirect you to the study’s Visit Manager.
  • Expiration Date – System generated. Created for any trial with Inventory Management configured. This item indicates the expiration date of study drug inventory associated with your study or site.
  • Events – Manually generated. Added to the calendar using the Create feature. After selecting a specific Event in the calendar, the system will redirect you to the event’s detail screen.
  • Tasks – Manually generated. Added to the calendar using the Create feature. After selecting a specific Task in the calendar, the system will redirect you to the task’s detail screen.



Calendar Access

The main Calendar can be accessed by hovering the mouse over your name in the header and selecting ‘Calendar.’


Simplified versions of the calendar can be found on the Desktop and Study Homepage.

Calendar Views

You can switch between the four available calendar views with the toggle buttons located near the top right of every view.


Month

The Month view displays all the calendar items occurring in the selected month. The next 5 upcoming tasks and events are listed on the right.

Week

The Week view displays all the calendar items for a given week organized by their start  time. All-Day events are included at the top of the view.

Day

The Day view displays all the calendar items for a given day organized by their start time. The Day view also includes a calendar of the entire month. By clicking on the number for a particular day, you can select the day that you want to view.

Agenda

The Agenda view displays a list of all upcoming events organized by type in a certain time range.

Filters

All Calendar views support two main filters.

Legend

Located in the bottom left corner of any calendar view, the Legend allows you to filter calendar items by type.


Study Filter

The Study Filter can be found in the top left corner of every view. With this filter, you can quickly add and remove study and workgroup calendars from the view. When multiple calendars are selected, all their events will appear on the calendar. Personal events can also be included by adding the ‘My Calendar’ option to the filter.

Add Calendars

To add a calendar, click inside the filter. The system will display a list of available calendars. To search for a specific calendar, type its name in the filter.


Remove Calendars

To remove a calendar, click the ‘x’ beside the calendar name.

Print Calendar

Using the ‘Print’ button, you can print the currently selected view of the calendar with its applied filters.

  1. Select the Calendar view and use the filters to adjust the contents of the calendar.
  2. Click the ‘Print’ button located in the bottom left corner of the calendar.The printer-ready calendar will open in a new window.
  3. In the browser select File > Print.
