Summary

This article covers how to access the version history table, access past versions, and additional history tracking.

Table of Contents

The version number for a file is listed in the file directory for each file. You can click this version number to access the version history for the file.

Version History Table

The version history table contains an entry for each version of the file. For each version, this table includes information regarding who changed the file, the commit message associated with the change, the time at which the change occurred and the size of the file. Any updates to a file that involve uploading a new version of the file result in an incremented major version number. Changes to the name of the file result in an incremented minor version number.

Access Past Versions

Versions of a file that haven’t been deleted can be accessed by clicking the name of the file in File Name Column. When a file is renamed through the Properties Screen, the version with the old name will be marked as “Renamed” and only the re-named version of the file can be accessed. Upon clicking the name of the file, the file download will initiate.

Additional History Tracking

History related to permission changes can be found in the Permission History.
