Fountayn customers are able to define at an enterprise manager level if external recipients can be included on jobs in the Scheduler. The following guide presents the steps necessary for defining the Scheduler Properties.
Access Scheduler Properties
- On the Desktop, select ‘Enterprise Manager.’
- From this screen, right-click the root node to view the Workgroup Actions menu.
The root node will be the first listing at the top of the Enterprise Manager workgroup tree. - Select the ‘Scheduler Properties’ option from the Workgroup Actions menu.
- The Manage Scheduler Properties screen will appear.
Update Scheduler Properties
- Select the appropriate property for Scheduler External Recipients:
- Inherit Parent Enterprise. Current setting is Enabled Sending to External Recipient. This is the Default setting and will inherit the Parent Enterprise settings for Enterprise Managers above the current level.
- Enabled, External Recipients can receive Scheduler packages.
- Disabled, External Recipients cannot receive Scheduler packages.
- Save the Scheduler Properties.
Scheduler with External Recipients Disabled
If External Recipients are Disabled, the Scheduler Add Recipients dialog will only display a section for Internal Users not External.
If External Recipients are set to Disabled and Scheduler Jobs exist with external users defined, the external users will not receive the job.
