Job Admins can enable and disable jobs, view job details and change job ownership. This page describes the steps for viewing job details and changing job ownership.

View Job Details

Only Job Schedulers can create and edit jobs, and Job Schedulers must own the job in order to edit it. This section describes what Job Admins (and Job Schedulers that don’t own the job) can do to view the job details that Job Schedulers manage. On the Scheduler Main Screen, Job Admins can click on the job’s name, task link, recurrence link, recipients link and job log link. Clicking on any of these items brings up a read-only view. Job Admins also have view-only access to the template and encoding screens.

After clicking the task link, Job Admins can click the View Icon to gain additional information about each task in the job.

Change Job Ownership

If a Job Scheduler leaves a workgroup or if the owner of a job should change, Job Admins can move jobs to another owner. However, in order for a different Job Scheduler to own a job, the Job Scheduler should have all study permissions required to run the tasks in the job. While the system will not prevent jobs from going to Job Schedulers without all study permissions, the system will warn against it.

  1. On the Scheduler Main Screen, click the name of the owner in the Owner Column.JobAdminActions-ChangeOwnership1
  2. In the Change Ownership Dialog, select a new owner from the New Owner Dropdown Menu.
    • The dropdown menu includes all Job Schedulers for the job’s workgroup.
  3. Click the Save Button.

The Change Ownership Dialog will display a summary of the change. Different messages will display based on whether or not permission problems are detected.

  1. Review the summary of changes. If any permission problems are detected, consider addressing them before changing the owner or select a different job scheduler to own the job.
Note: If the new Job Owner does not have permission to execute a task, that task will fail during job execution.

  1. Click the Confirm Button to confirm the change.

Enable and Disable Jobs

Job Admins can also enable and disable jobs as described on the Scheduler Main Screen help page. Only the owning Job Scheduler is allowed to delete a job.
